I am an artist, designer, and small business owner in beautiful North Alabama. Central to my life is Roman Catholicism, the pursuit of peace, adoration of the natural world, and celebration of my family and our roots.

Those are most of the things you will find reflected in my work, whether in paint or in prose.

I have spent all of my life as an eccentric, a creative, and sort of a recluse, always in need of a hidden moment of stillness to breathe and put something on paper: A heavy-handed inky rendering of the cypress knobs spying out of a swamp. A sticky note with a mellifluous arrangement of words about fiddleheads. Getting completely lost in the wisdom wrinkles of a pencil-sketched babushka.

To be honest with you, I would typically prefer to talk to paper over people, so maybe here is a good place to visit if you're interested in the language that I speak. It is rendered in landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and adjectives. Boldly colored with heavy lines and chronically accused of “too many” words.

When I’m not tucked away in the micro-studio positioned in my very own swamp, I am home-educating my children and laughing with my husband. I enjoy a simple life, but one that I consider much in harmony with the nature of my work: Bold. Unafraid. Timeless. Honest.
